Edits to Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine page[edit]

Hello -- curious to learn more about the extent of your edits to the Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine page. I take your point on limiting seemingly promotional details. But you've removed a prominent paragraph on the mechanics of CC-BY licenses (which links to a Wikipedia page) and to a more extensive list of abstracting/indexing resources (which is not promotional given that those indices are independent third parties). We have hundreds of journal articles licensed CCBY, it would be nuts to explain CC BY in all of them, that's why we have a separate article for the "mechanics of CC-BY licenses". As for the indexing services: PubMed is trivial for an OA journal, as those are automatically included in PMC, which is indexed by PubMed. Web of Science is not an indexing service, but an access platform to indexes like SCIE. Ulrich's and CLOCKSS are rather trivial, too, as is Google Scholar. I added some that are more important (Embase, Current Contents) and deleted those that are trivial. Hope this helps. --Randykitty (talk) 21:32, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the feedback. Point of nuance re: Current Contents — that too is part of the Clarivate / Web of Science ecosystem (I used to work there). So if you're ok with mentioning CC I'd say SCIE, SSCI etc are also fine to list individually.

One point I'm going to restore to the article is the 2016 start date for Masanori Aikawa, as it speaks directly to the quality measures the journal implemented (as described in the Controversy section).
