August 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Timothy O'Neill (camoufleur)—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. This information removing him as a reference needs to be left in place. I am Kenneth G. Henley and was the lead member of the MARPAT design team starting in 2000. I worked with Anabela Dugas, John Heisterman, and the rest of the team. Timothy O'Niel was not a member of the design team and the Army article referencing his involvement in the project was an error by the author of that article and it was never corrected. Please reference the entire published article of the first hand account of the MARPAT design that is also among the page references. https://www.militarymorons.com/misc/camo.html
Timothy O'Niel was not a member of the team, was not employed as a civilian by Natick Army Research Lab, was not employed by MARCORSYSCOM, and was not even a consultant in any way, shape, or form in the design of MARPAT. You can also reference the US Patent listing that is also linked in the page as a reference. If you support upholding inaccurate information simply because one article write was confused as to the history of something, let me know. We can introduce a cease and desist letter from an attorney. Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to MARPAT, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Please see my reply above. I am again correcting the information on this page to reflect the true and published history of this program. You are restoring my edits based upon what is a small erroneous entry by an article writer who made a mistake. All other verifiable sources can support that Timothy O'Niel was not a part of the design process or team. Thank you. Zeck8541 (talk) 09:00, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
