Please stop changing date formats contrary to MOS:RETAIN. Examples include https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Emanuel_Lasker&diff=prev&oldid=1225718960 and https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wilhelm_Steinitz&diff=prev&oldid=1225718997. Quale (talk) 20:33, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

RETAIN does not apply when the initial date format is simply wrong. Lasker was German and they use DMY, so MDY is wring. Steinitz is less clear and I'm content to remain MDY for him. GiantSnowman 07:35, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Brian Kaltak "vandalism"[edit]

What are you talking about? He did win the Championship?

All you've changed is removing this line: "Kaltak was part of the Mariners' Championship, Premiership and AFC Cup winning 2023-24 season."

What are actually on about? What have I vandalised? He literally was, and it's referenced. Beyond ridiculous. Go fix it back yourself. Matt jobe watson (talk) 09:13, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You removed valid sources. At best your edit was incompetent. GiantSnowman 18:15, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Go fix it up then champ. His page is now inaccurate because you removed details of him winning the 2023-24 championship. Matt jobe watson (talk) 13:07, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I should not need to clean up after you, repeatedly. GiantSnowman 17:14, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't mean to be a pedant on this section you've removed from British Asians in association football, but based on the fact that Masood was an immigrant from Pakistan in 1956, he would have been a British colonial subject. You can read more about it here: British_subject#1949_to_1982. So frankly, the fact that he was in Britain and played for Bradford for that season, shows that he was a 'British Asian' in as far as you could be at that time. So I'd argue that he shouldn't be excluded form the article, but maybe needs a line to justify that he was a British subject. Mountaincirquetalk 13:52, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to raise on the talk page - my view is that it is outside of the scope/intention of the article. GiantSnowman 17:15, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
