Assess : newly added and existing articles, maybe nominate some good B-class articles for GA; independently assess some as A-class, regardless of GA status.
Cleanup : * Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state) * Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.) * Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing. * Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
* Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."

I think the Orioles should be included in this list. Yes Washington has the Nationals now, but they didn't for 35 years. Most of us grew up as Orioles fans, and if you include other Maryland teams, as Washington teams, then the O's have to be in this list also. The Baysox are listed, and of all teams, Del Marva, which is twice as far from DC and Baltimore is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.222.130.188 (talk • contribs)
I'd go the other route and delist all the teams that don't play in D.C. or the nearby suburbs, i.e.: almost all the minor league baseball teams (except the Potomac Nationals and the Baysox) and Crystal Palace FC which plays in Annapolis. After all, this template doesn't include the Ravens either. It would be better to create a separate Baltimore sports template. --D. Monack | talk 03:37, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead & removed all the teams more than 35 miles from downtown DC. This is admittedly an arbitrary distance, but it was specifically chosen to exclude Baltimore-based teams and be objective. We have to draw the line somewhere. --D. Monack | talk 03:08, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think the arbitrary distance should be used, but the official Metropolitan Statistical area, as defined by the census. This makes the most sense, would disclude Baltimore, and include Frederick. --RockRNC 02:22, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
