Author David Bergamini, now deceased, was widely excoriated critically for his 1975 book "Japan's Imperial Conspiracy," where he postulated that the Emperor was not a powerless figurehead, but was instrumental in leading Japan into WW II. Bix's book now seems to confirm Bergamini's thesis. Shouldn't there be some explanatory section in either this article or the article on "Japan's Imperial Conspiracy" (or both) relating this revisionist historical thesis, and giving some credit to Bergamini for first bringing the theory to light?98.71.51.106 (talk) 20:21, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
