Italian court orders retrial in defamation ruling[edit]

On October 13 a court threw out the old conviction and ordered a re-trial.

"However, Knox's conviction for committing defamation against Lumumba was upheld by all courts." should be edited.

My suggestion:

"In October 2023 it also overturned Knox's initial conviction for defamation against Lulumba and ordered a retrial (yet to be scheduled)."

This will help to quicker exonerate in the eyes of the public someone wrongfully convicted.

Defamation conviction[edit]

The short paragraph on the defamation conviction doesn't explain that she was ordered to pay compensation to the victim and whether she has paid it or not. Also, it doesn't mention that she was sentenced to three years in prison but given credit for time served. [1] 152.130.15.15 (talk) 13:37, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
