Mangal Lakshmi is an Indian Hindi-language television family drama series that premiered on 27 February 2024 on Colors TV and streams digitally on JioCinema. Produced under Panorama Entertainment, it is an official adaptation of Kannada series Bhagyalakshmi. The series stars Deepika Singh, Sanika Amit, Naman Shaw and Shubham Dipta.[1]

Premise[edit]

A story of how Mangal, a dedicated homemaker, navigates through her troubled marriage and at the same time is determined to find the perfect groom for her cousin, Lakshmi, who will treat her with respect.

Development[edit]

The series is an official adaptation of the Kannada-language series Bhagyalakshmi.[3] It follows the life and struggle to an elder sister who wants a perfect husband for her younger sister.[4]

Casting[edit]

Deepika Singh was cast as Mangal and Naman Shaw was cast as Adit. Both of them return to television after four years.[5][6] Sanika Amit was cast as Lakshmi and Shubham Dipta was cast as a singer Kartik.[7][8] Later, Jia Mustafa was cast as Saumya and Rutuja Sawant was cast as Jiya.[9][10]
